Advice for the Wealthy

According to Brian Hanly at 3Q, most of the company's revenues in the short to medium term will come from consulting and from system implementation services. But he expects to ramp up the sales of software licences at a later date. The wealth management suite will include separate 'outer modules' that provide models for financial protection, debt restructuring, investment, lifestyle goals and retirement planning. The core part of the system will support customer profiling, product branding, communications and integration with existing front and back office systems.
The software suite draws on the expertise of 3Q's own insurance and investment specialists. These include financial adviser Eddie Hobbs, who does not hold an executive role in the one-year-old company, but was one of its co-founders.
Brian Hanly hopes to have three reference customers by the end of next year and to step up international sales in 2005. For the present 3Q is seeking pilot implementations in Ireland and in the Nordic countries, whose governments are encouraging more investment in retirement funds. The company participated in Enterprise Ireland's recent software trade mission to Finland and has already identified four prospective customers in the Nordic region.
